New: Live Stream videos from Cloud Storage.
Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and pCloud with OneStream Live.
OneStream is happy to announce the updated cloud storage integration feature. OneStream now enables users to upload their videos with pCloud along with Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Apart from that, OneStream allows users to either upload their video files from their own computer and save them in OneStream storage or record and upload their videos directly.
With OneStream Live you can upload videos with three different ways.
- Upload from device
- Upload from cloud storage
- Capture screen (record directly)
When you upload a video to create a live stream, the video is automatically saved. Your uploaded videos are stored for a maximum of 60 days unless they are used again. As soon as a stored video is used to create a schedule the 60 days counter is reset.
The video storage capacity you have depends on your subscription plan.
- Free Plan: There is no storage capacity available for free user.
- Basic Plan: 5GB is available for Basic plan user.
- Standard Plan: 20GB is available for standard plan users.
- Professional Plan: 50GB is available for professional plan user.
You can check your video storage capacity by clicking Videos on the left-hand sidebar.
Previously the maximum video file size allowed was 1 GB. Obviously that posed lots of problems for users who have high-quality videos since full HD or 4k videos can be easily over 1 GB but still be around 30–40 min long.
Well not anymore!
Although there is no file size limit when uploading from Dropbox and Google Drive. OneStream Live increased its capacity to 5GB, which means you can upload your large video files from cloud storage or from your desktop directly.
One of the core features of OneStream has been that it is a cloud-based streaming service. We wanted to give our users an ultimate live streaming experience with greater mobility. You can upload and live stream your videos from anywhere in the world without the need for any special software or hardware. With this in mind, integration with cloud storage was always going to be part of natural evolution.
How to upload videos from cloud storage.
OneStream Live made uploading the videos for live streaming simple and efficient. Upload your large video files from your device and Live Stream at your own scheduled time. Here are the simple steps to upload the video streams.
When you log in to your OneStream dashboard click new stream on the sidebar
Now under the video upload section, you will see Dropbox and Google Drive icons.
- Click either one to connect your Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or Pcloud account to OneStream.
- A new window will open which will display your stored videos. Just select the video you want to broadcast.
- OneStream will start to download your video to its secure servers and display the progress in the progress bar.
- Write a compelling title, a useful description, select a scheduled time and click Create Stream.
Bonus: Yes, your internet bandwidth will not be used and your internet connection speed does not matter anymore.
